Comic Con vlog + Tips

I can’t believe that I went to my very first Comic Con last week! It was a very fun but tiring experience but I can’t wait to go back next year.

To be completely honest, I was not even prepared for it. We woke up at 3/4am so that we could make it to our volunteer hours. That’s how we were able to attend. We volunteered for a few hours each day and were free to explore the convention the rest of the day. Once we were let in to the event, the crowds and the lines were crazy. I knew that there would be a ton of people but I didn’t know it would be this huge. People that were dressed up made me jealous that I didn’t have enough time to think of a costume for my boyfriend and I.

If you are planning on going to Comic con next year or any of the popular conventions, here are some tips from my experience:

  1. Wear really comfortable shoes. You will be waiting in alot of lines for a long period of time to buy merchandise, comics, pins, etc. The more comfortable your shoes, the happier your feet will be for the rest of the convention
  2. Bring a jacket. Especially if you plan on camping out of staying until dark. If you aren’t in the actual convention, the AC is cranked up pretty high and I found myself wearing my flannel/jean jacket the whole time that I was there.
  3. Don’t be afraid to ask people what they are waiting in line for! On the first day, we were just roaming around and when we wanted to go into certain lines we weren’t sure what they were for or the line was already capped.
  4. Also, don’t be scared to ask people who are dressed up if you can take a picture with them. It’s completely common and most of the time they will. Just don’t touch them or chase after them. There’s a no touch/no running rule at the convention.
  5. BE PREPARED TO SPEND MONEY! There is a lot of goodies there! I thought that I saved enough for our trip because I wouldn’t buy alot but I found a lot of stuff that I wanted and bunch of what I got was exclusive to Comic Con, making it more expensive. Plan your spending accordingly.

Cancun Trip + Vacay Must Haves

As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to Cancun last month for my best friend’s bachelorette. I went to Cancun last year with my sisters and this time around I was more prepared with what to expect and what I should bring along with me.

Before I get started on reminiscing about my vacation, let’s get into the essentials:

Passport/ID/Cash

Sneakers/sandals/flip flops

Sunglasses/Floppy hat

Sunscreen

Camera

Cute swimsuits

Portable charger

I wish I can say that I didn’t overpack or that I packed just what I needed but that would be a lie. I had several outfits that I brought that I didn’t use, more sandals than I even wore and one piece swim suits that I didn’t even get the change to wear. But with every trip, you learn what to bring and what not to bring.

Now to the good part *insert giggle here*

This is the view from our ocean front suite. It was so incredible to walk onto our balcony each morning and have my morning coffee here with the calming sounds of the waves.

This is the view we had leaving our suite. I can’t get over how much I love the buildings and the bright blue skies here.

We went to Xel-Ha and that was where we went snorkeling for the first time! It’s all inclusive food and drinks. There are a bunch of other activities that you can do too. We did ziplining as well.

Who goes snorkeling and doesn’t take a selfie? I had so much fun. At first I forgot that I have to breath through my mouth and ended up having a bunch of water in my mouth. That wasn’t fun but I would definitely go back to snorkel here when I come back in the future.

We swam across the way so that we could go to through this cave. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I definitely recommend visiting this area to take a little break from snorkeling. The water isn’t that deep here and it’s perfect to just relax and enjoy the water.

We did a Cun Crawl, and that’s where you go to 3 different clubs in one night. It was so fun but unfortunately I don’t have too many pictures from the club. The nightlife is pretty crazy and when we headed back to our hotel at around 2:30, the clubs were still going full force and there was a bunch of people out.

If this leaves you wanting more, my vlog from this Cancun trip is up on my youtube channel.

What else happened in April?

Last month seemed like it passed by so quick. By the time I realized I needed to upload my vlog, we were already well into May. But it’s better late than never.

I’m still getting the hang of having a blog so please bare with me. I’ll get better! If you’re interested in seeing how my April was (aside from Coachella) just watch!

Enjoy! And I’ll talk to you soon!

Coachella 2017

Coachella was so much fun this year. Each experience at Coachella is different but nevertheless, it’s always been so much fun! My boyfriend and I decided that it would be our last year, but it might not be the last music festival though. So stay tuned. The best part of Coachella, in my opinion, is feeling carefree and enjoying the food, music and people.

Hope you enjoy this vlog!
